Nico G. Verbeek
Training as a Patent Attorney
Dr. Verbeek is fluent in German and English. In his free time, he enjoys 3D printing, barbecue, skiing and technical diving.
Nico Gerd Verbeek studied medical physics at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and completed his master’s degree with a focus on computational physics in 2017. In his master’s thesis and in his doctorate, he worked on new dosimetric methods and the simulation of interactions of ionizing radiation with matter at the West German Proton Therapy Centre in Essen. In this context he was involved in international research projects, such as the European HARMONIC project.
In addition to his work as a doctoral student, he worked as a medical physics expert at the West German Proton Therapy Center Essen, where he obtained his ‚Fachkunde‘ in particle therapy in 2019.
At the end of 2021, he started his training in intellectual property law at the law firm Michalski Hüttermann & Partner.
