Robert Lange speaks German, English and a fair amount of Dutch. In his spare time he is involved in the repair of youngtimers and oldtimers. He also enjoys hiking.
Robert Lange studied transportation engineering with a focus on automotive engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. After working for an institute of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and an engineering service provider for vehicle occupant protection simulation, he began training as a patent attorney in 2007, which he successfully completed with the examination in 2010. Since 2012, he has also been a professional representative before the European Patent Office.
From 2011 to 2015, Robert Lange worked as a Patent Counsel for the US agricultural company John Deere in Mannheim, where his work focused in particular on prosecuting patent applications in the field of transmission and driveline technology. Subsequently, he worked in the patent department of the industrial group thyssenkrupp in Essen, where he was responsible for patent prosecution in the fields of automotive plant engineering and marine technology. In 2021, he finally joined the law firm Michalski & Hüttermann.
