Quantificare successful with Michalski Hüttermann & Partner and Lang & Rahmann

In the ongoing dispute over 3D medical imaging systems, the French company QuantifiCare has regained the upper hand against Canfield Scientific: With the help our our partner Dr. Dirk Schulz and his colleageue Dr. Felix Klopmeier from Lang & Rahmann they succeeded in nullity proceedings. In July 2024, the Federal Court of Justice upheld QuantifiCare's patent, concluding that the technology is both new and inventive. This decision allows the parallel infringement case at the Regional Court of Düsseldorf, where QuantifiCare is seeking to stop Canfield Scientific from infringing products in Germany, to proceed.

In addition to the ongoing parallel case in the US, QuantifiCare has now filed an infringement case with the Unified Patent Court (local division in Düsseldorf), seeking damages and injunctive relief for France, Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands.
