Andreas Gröschel studied mechanical engineering and technical editing at RWTH Aachen University and graduated in 2002 with a thesis in the field of process engineering.
Following his studies, Andreas Gröschel began his training as a patent attorney at a law firm in Cologne. In 2006, Andreas Gröschel passed the patent attorney examination and since then has also been an authorised representative before the European Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Andreas Gröschel specialises in German, European and international patent law, in particular he handles application, opposition and infringement proceedings in the fields of automotive, process engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, chemical engineering, medical technology and electrical engineering. He is also active in trademark, design and licence matters and filed national and foreign topography (mask work) applications for the protection of semiconductor structures.
Andreas Gröschel was born in Lima/Peru in 1973, speaks fluent German and English and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and French. Andreas Gröschel is married and lives in Cologne. His hobbies include kickboxing, Tai Chi Chuan, philosophy, cognitive psychology and virtual worlds.
