Dr. Lars Müller completed his degree in chemistry at RWTH Aachen University in 2002. During his studies, he spent research periods at the University of York and at DSM Research, Geleen. In 2005, he obtained his doctorate at the University of Paderborn with a thesis in the field of homogeneous catalysis.
Dr. Lars Müller began his career in intellectual property law in 2005 at a patent law firm in Düsseldorf. In 2009, he passed the patent attorney examination and was admitted as a representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Since 2011, Dr. Müller has also been admitted as a representative before the European Patent Office. Dr. Lars Müller joined Michalski Hüttermann & Partner at the end of 2009 and has been a partner in the firm since 2013.
He specialises in the prosecution and enforcement of technical property rights. His technical specialisations include energy technology, medical technology, automotive applications and technical and polymer chemistry. Dr. Lars Müller also deals intensively with building material chemistry, material sciences and additive manufacturing processes. In addition to technical property rights, Dr. Lars Müller is also active in trademark and design law.
Dr. Lars Müller is co-author of several scientific publications in the field of chemistry.
Lars Müller was born in Cologne in 1975 and now lives in Grevenbroich with his wife and daughter. He speaks fluent English as well as German.
