After completing his degree in chemistry and his doctorate at the University of Dortmund in 1998, Ralf Malessa was responsible for the operational and strategic research and development of various international companies, primarily in the food, cosmetics and life science sectors.
Dr. Malessa began his career in patent law in 2011 at the law firm Michalski Hüttermann & Partner. He was admitted as a German patent attorney and representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office at the beginning of 2015.
In addition to the drafting and defence of industrial property rights, his core competencies include strategic product portfolio and innovation management. Ralf Malessa also contributes his in-depth professional expertise to portfolio and corporate strategy considerations. The practical experience and knowledge of client needs from his own professional career enable Dr. Malessa to provide a comprehensive and comprehensible consulting approach that is tailored in particular to the requirements and culture of small and medium-sized companies.
Ralf Malessa, born in Recklinghausen in 1969, lives in Essen and is married. In addition to German, he speaks fluent English.
