Uwe Albersmeyer studied chemistry at the University of Duisburg-Essen and graduated in 1997. In 2002, he completed his doctorate at the Institute of Organic Chemistry there on the subject of "Quantum-technical simulations and solid-state NMR spectroscopic investigations of hydrogen bonds in hydroxyazines and related compounds". Uwe Albersmeyer successfully founded his first company during his studies.
Dr. Albersmeyer then worked briefly in the chemical industry before deciding to focus on intellectual property and training as a patent attorney in a law firm in Düsseldorf. He has been a German patent attorney and a professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office since 2007 and a professional representative before the European Patent Office since 2010.
At the end of 2009, Uwe Albersmeyer joined the law firm Michalski Hüttermann & Partner. He specialises in electrochemistry, materials science and building materials chemistry. He also has extensive experience in the fields of power plant and environmental technology as well as biotechnology. In addition to obtaining and enforcing technical property rights, his core activities also include trade mark and design protection as well as employee invention law issues. The support and implementation of due diligence audits and the preparation of FTO opinions also form a significant part of his work.
Uwe Albersmeyer is regularly recommended in specialised publications, e.g. repeatedly in the JUVE Handbook.
Dr. Uwe Albersmeyer was born in 1970 in Essen, where he still lives today. He is married and has two children. In his spare time, he plays bass guitar in various formations. In addition to German, Uwe Albersmeyer speaks fluent English.
